These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the TailMate mobile application and any related services (together, the "Service") operated by:

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

To use TailMate you must:

• Be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your country of residence).
• Be the legal owner — or carer with the owner's consent — of the dog whose profile you create.
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
• Not be barred from using the Service under applicable law.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your credentials secure. Notify us immediately at service.tailmate@gmail.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

You agree to provide truthful information about yourself and your dog, including current photos and accurate breed, age and behaviour information.

TailMate is a social discovery app that helps dog owners meet other dog owners through:

The Service is provided "as is" — features, content and availability may evolve.

You agree NOT to:

• Post sexual, hateful, harassing, threatening, or discriminatory content.
• Use the Service for commercial solicitation, advertising, or spam.
• Misrepresent your identity, your dog, or your relationship to your dog.
• Collect, scrape, or store other users' data without consent.
• Attempt to bypass safety features (blocks, reports, age gates).
• Use the Service to facilitate breeding sales, dog trades, or any commercial transaction involving animals.

Violations may lead to warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent termination at our sole discretion.

You retain ownership of the photos, text and other content you upload ("User Content"). By posting it on TailMate you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, display, reproduce, adapt and distribute the User Content strictly for the purpose of operating, promoting and improving the Service.

You confirm that you have all the rights necessary to grant this licence and that your User Content does not infringe any third-party rights.

TailMate facilitates introductions; it does not guarantee any in-person meeting. You are solely responsible for your decisions to meet other users and for the supervision and behaviour of your dog at all times.

• Meet first in public, well-lit places — public parks, dog runs, cafés.
• Bring leash, water and any required muzzle in line with local law.
• Respect other dogs' boundaries; separate at the first sign of stress.
• Verify vaccination status when relevant.

Some features may be offered as paid subscriptions. Pricing, billing periods and renewal terms are displayed in-app at the moment of purchase and are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, through the store from which you subscribed.

Statutory rights to cancel under EU consumer law apply where required by law.

The TailMate name, logo, mascot, design system, source code and all related materials are the exclusive property of TAILMATE — SAS and are protected by French and international intellectual-property law.

No element of the Service may be reproduced, modified, distributed, sold, or otherwise exploited without our prior written authorisation, except for the limited personal use permitted by the Service.

You may delete your account at any time from the in-app settings. Deletion is effective immediately; certain data may be retained for the periods described in our Privacy Policy where required by law.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or created a risk for the community.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TAILMATE — SAS is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or reputation, arising from your use of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you in-app or by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Continuing to use the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from the Service or these Terms shall be submitted to the competent courts of Paris, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rules giving you the right to sue in your country of residence.

EU consumers may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
